XM launched in 2001. Delphi and XM developed the world’s first truly portable satellite radio: the MyFi.
- Listen at home, in the car, or outdoors.
- Save up to 5 hours of XM programming.

4. Getting Started
Main Controls (Receiver)
- Power: Hold to turn on/off.
- Display: High-resolution LCD.
- Volume: Adjusts with headphones plugged in.
- Arrow Buttons: Navigate channels (LIVE) or skip tracks (MY XM).
- 2go Button: Store up to 5 hours of programming.
- Mode Button: Switch between LIVE XM and MY XM playback.
- Preset/Direct Button: Switch between presets or direct channel entry.

5. Setup
Assembly
- Remove battery cover.
- Insert battery.
- Reattach cover.
- Place receiver in home stand.
- Charge battery at least 3 hours before use.
Connecting to a Stereo
- Plug AC adaptor into outlet.
- Connect home antenna.
- Connect line out to stereo or powered speakers.
- Turn on MyFi.
- If “NO SIGNAL,” reposition antenna south-facing.
Activation
- Tune to Channel 0 to view XM Radio ID.
- Go to activate.xmradio.com or call 1-800-XM-RADIO.
- Provide XM Radio ID and payment.
- Activation takes 10–60 minutes.
6. Listening to XM
Changing Channels
- Rotate dial, then press to select.
- OR use Direct Entry: Press Preset/Direct, then enter channel number.
- OR use Arrow Buttons in LIVE mode.
Saving Presets
- Up to 30 presets across banks A, B, C.
- Tune to channel.
- Select preset bank.
- Hold number key to save.
Memory
- Save song info: Press Memory.
- Recall: Hold Memory.
- Holds 20 entries (oldest replaced when full).
TuneSelect
- Add favorite artist/song to alert list.
- MyFi will beep when available on another channel.
- Manage via Menu > TuneSelect.
My XM (Recording & Playback)
- Store up to 5 hours:
- Tune to channel.
- Press 2go (confirm if prompted).
- Press again to stop.
- Playback:
- Press Mode to switch to MY XM.
- Skip tracks with arrows.
- Return to LIVE with Mode.
Scheduling Sessions
- Up to 2 sessions (total ≤ 5 hrs).
- Menu > My XM > Schedule.
- Set frequency, time, and channel.
- MyFi must be off, on stand, and powered.
7. Personalizing Your MyFi
Audio Settings
- Menu > Set Audio > Set Tone (bass/treble).
- Menu > Set Audio > Line Out Level.
Display Options
- Display Button: Cycle info formats.
- Menu > Change Display: Brightness, contrast, backlight, themes.
FM Transmitter
- Find unused FM frequency.
- Menu > Set FM Frequency.
- Match with FM radio.
Stock Ticker
- Track up to 20 stock symbols.
- Menu > Stock Ticker > Add Stocks.
- View with Display Button.
Info Extras
- Menu > Info Extras to select options.
- View with Display Button.
Time Features
- Menu > Time: Set time zone, format, DST.
- Sleep timer & alarm available.
- Vehicle Auto On/Off option.
Channel Skipping
- Menu > Channel Access > Skip/Add.
- Toggle + / – next to channel name.
Factory Reset
- Menu > Set Factory Defaults > Yes.
8. Using MyFi
At Home
- Connect via line out to stereo or speakers.
- Antenna must be plugged in.
Aiming Antenna
- Menu > Antenna Aiming.
- Adjust for 2+ bars signal.
In Vehicle
- Options: Cassette adaptor, FM transmitter, or wired.
- Always trial-run before permanent install.
- Place antenna on metal roof, away from obstructions.
Mounting Options: Flush, Vent, Swivel mounts included.
On the Go
- Use belt clip for upright position.
- Lock controls to prevent accidental presses.
- Wearable antenna improves reception.
9. Care & Battery
- Not waterproof.

11. Troubleshooting (Quick Guide)
- NO SIGNAL: Reposition antenna.

- No Power: Charge battery.
- Missing Channels: Re-activate subscription.
